Double-Double (In Somali)
A group of Somali friends gather for coffee and conversation. They talk about the Somali habit of taking double cream and double sugar in their coffee. They try to convince a newcomer, Ali, to reduce his intake of sugar and fats so he will be more healthy. But Ali has had many difficult things in his life and wants to hang on to this simple pleasure. A good deal of basic health information is presented through conversation in this vignette.

fantastic
fantastic film!!!!!! amazed on how somalis are united , i wish the same could happen back in somalia. true what the old man was talking about,he survived the worst in somali but he failed to realize that a simple think like sugar can turn his life into a miserable one. you will only understand the importance of a healthy body once you get ill. for the healthy one's they think this is a joke. you can afford to say NO to double double but you cant say NO once the doctor tells you are a diabetic and it is permanent.
this film is very educating ,i hope somali's will follow this piece of advice.
Double-Double
I think it is a great thing to have such strong community that supports one another by remains the bad-health practice versus the good-heath practice. I believe that my community (Somalia) has lest attention when it comes to health awareness; because, some of us are reactive rather than proactive. Therefore, I believe my community needs help which I believe should come from medical community where they are able to explain and spread the word of diabetic –awareness, and how important is to watch our diet. I believe we may come across like the gentleman in the Atlanta coffee-shop (video clip) that has insisted his behavior where other gentlemen showed that they really concerned their friend’s health even though he has right to choose whatever he wants. As I said, we need health-awareness within the community to prevent viruses such as H1N1 or seasonal flue before infects number people in other word let us to be proactive rather than reactive.
