Seeking Media Mentors

Feet In Two Worlds, a project that builds partnerships between ethnic media and public radio, is looking for experienced radio producers in Washington DC and Los Angeles to mentor reporters for ethnic newspapers who are learning the craft of public radio journalism.

This is a unique opportunity to help journalists from immigrant communities bring their work to public radio and to expose public radio listeners to stories and ideas that are rarely covered outside of ethnic media. Mentors should have a solid background in field recording techniques, radio documentary or news production skills, and experience in writing for broadcast and ProTools or other digital mixing software. A flexible schedule is also a plus.

Mentors receive a stipend for their work.
