Immigrant and Health Initiative (IAHI) is a group of professionals, scholars and students committed to research, training and advocacy on the health issues affecting immigrant populations worldwide, and particularly in the US. Among their goals and activities, they conduct research on the health needs of immigrants and their children, and develop teaching curricula and training guidelines. Recent research has included studying health disparities in pharmaceutical marketing, and a focus group study of weight control and body image among Latinas.

Founded in 2000, Domestic Workers United [DWU] is an organization of Caribbean, Latina and African nannies, housekeepers, and elderly caregivers in New York, organizing for power, respect, fair labor standards and to help build a movement to end exploitation and oppression for all. DWU is a leader in several campaigns including a domestic workers bill of rights for the state of New York.
