WHYY
As t
he premier public broadcasting station serving the Philadelphia
market, WHYY provides TV and radio, web programming, podcasts, and
community forums. Founded in 1952, WHYY’s mission is to make our region a
better place, connecting each of us to the world's richest ideas and all
of us to each other.
Based on community partnerships, WHYY’s Wider
Horizon’s service (led by Ms. Willo Carey) collaboratively develops
content with the community focusing on creativity/social engagement and
caregiving/quality of care. The Learning Lab at WHYY teaches the community
to express itself through digital video.
